Salwa Eid Naser, returning from suspension, posted a meet record 48.70 to reclaim the 400 title from Marileidy Paulino. Home favourite Audrey Werro thrilled Swiss fans with a national-record 1:55.91 in the 800 while Kenya’s Nelly Chepchirchir edged Jessica Hull and Linden Hall in the 1500 with a 3:56.99. Ethiopia’s Fantaye Belayneh led a tightly packed 3000, winning in 8:40.56. The short hurdles delivered more drama as Jamaica’s Ackera Nugent ran 12.30 to beat Swiss star Ditaji Kambundji, whose 12.40 equalled the national record. Femke Bol extended her dominance with a 52.18 meet record in the 400 hurdles, and Kenya’s 19‑year‑old Faith Cherotich stormed the steeplechase in 8:57.24, well clear of Norah Jeruto. Nicola Olyslagers was the field-event star, clearing an Oceanian record 2.04 to win the high jump, ahead of world champion Yaroslava Mahuchikh. Katie Moon vaulted 4.82 to claim the pole vault title, Jessica Schilder won the shot put at 20.26, and Valarie Allman defended her discus crown with a 69.18 throw. The long jump went to Larissa Iapichino by a centimetre over Malaika Mihambo, Cuba swept the triple jump led by Leyanis Pérez Hernández’s 14.91, and Greece’s Elina Tzengko captured the javelin at 64.57.
